Turn off the tears!!

I know she is gone....

Maybe she will come back.

Yes!  She left.

But I just don't know!!!!

I know she is gone....

And took her with her!

Yes!  They both left.

Leaving us all alone.

Daisy is gone

Yes!  She left.

And Mary is gone too!

Don't cry

I will try

to get them back!!

Magpie Tales ~

Magpie Tales ( The Mag 127) gave us an interesting challenge today!  From the painting done by Franz Kline in 1952

And, of course I played with the image!!

She sat in the corner,

nursing her Scotch and Soda.

A single tear escaped

 Can one feel this low?

The music played on!

She took another sip.

She sat in the corner,

no one ventured over to her.

Another tear

She could hardly breath.

Can one feel this pain?

She took another sip.

She sat in the corner,

wondering how he could,

More tears ran down her cheek.

The pain is crushing.

She took another sip.

She sat in the corner

cursing the very day!

Sobs broke forth

She welcomed the release

She took another sip

She sat in the corner

feeling some relief.

Dry eyed

Resolution filled her heart

She finished off her drink.

She sat in the corner

eyeing those around her.

Hope filled her heart

A smile crossed her lips

She took another sip

She sat in the corner

Finishing her Scotch.

Smiling!

Crossing him off the list.

She ordered another round.

Time to party

and she looked around.

She took another sip!

She waited

It's only 6:15

New dress...new shoes..

and a stylin' purse.

She waited!

Her life seemed out of focus!

She waited!

Edges fuzzy and melting into the past!

6:30

She waited!

He said he would be here at 6PM!

It's only 6:45

She waited!

Door slamming...footsteps in hall!!!!

She waited!

Footsteps faded...7PM

She waited!

Day turned to night...

She waited

Darkness crept in

She waited!

Tasting salted tears

She waited

Seeing all the years!

She waited

10PM

She waited!

Shoes in the closet

Dress on a hanger

Laying in bed

Darkness embraces

She waited!!
